I am a state-qualified translator and interpreter of Italian and Spanish and have studied Foreign Languages at the University of Pisa. I have been working since 1983 as a teacher in adult education at the Bildungszentrum der Stadt Nürnberg (Community Education Centre) and at other Further Education Centres in Germany.

As an enthusiastic language teacher, I take part regularly in in-service training sessions and use the most up-to-date teaching methods in my classes. In 1997 I completed an accredited training programme in suggestopaedia and have increasingly used this holistic method in my classes in recent years. In 2004 I successfully completed a training course in the communicative teaching of Italian as a foreign language with DILIT International House in Rome.

I have been organising intensive courses in Italy since 1997.

I also continue to work as a freelance translator and interpreter for several companies in Germany and Italy.
